Windows Vista x64 - Bluetooth phone DUN connection issue

Error 619: "The port was disconnected."

Solution (based on DiGi connection):

1. open Device Manager
2. Modem --> open Properties for Standard Modem over Bluetooth link
3. on Advanced tab's Extra settings, add --> +cgdcont,"ip","diginet"
   

Error 734: "The PPP Link Control Protocol Was Terminated"

1. Create/update ~/.asoundrc with....

pcm.bluetooth {
   type bluetooth
   device 0A:1B:2C:3D:4E:5F <-- use 'hcitool scan to get bluetooth headset MAC address'
}


2. Run -->
gconftool-2 -t string -s /system/gstreamer/0.10/default/musicaudiosink "alsasink device=bluetooth"

* Revert to normal speaker -->
gconftool-2 -t string -s /system/gstreamer/0.10/default/musicaudiosink "autoaudiosink"


3. Load Banshee and enjoy...

openSUSE 11.1 - NVIDIA driver version 180.* installation/upgrade issue

Issue:

Upgrade of NVIDIA version from 177.* to 180.* causing X to fail


Cause:

nvidia.ko still symlinked to older kernel


Solution:

1) init 3

2) Upgrade to NVIDIA 180.* driver (execute NVIDIA*.run)

3) rm /lib/modules/*kernel version*/weak-updates/updates/nvidia.ko

4) ln -s /lib/modules/*kernel version*/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko /lib/modules/*kernel version*/weak-updates/updates/nvidia.ko

5) init 5

openSUSE 11.1 - VMware Workstation 6.5.1 not working after upgrade to openSUSE 11.1

As ROOT

1) mv /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary /usr/lib/vmware/modules/binary.old

2) run "vmware" and it will recompile
